What strange forces have driven Balder insane? Upon his return to Asgard, Thor finds that all Asgardians are missing…and in their stead- Lizardmen from beyond the stars!

Finding Asgard godless and full of lizard men, Thor goes to the Golden Star to save his father from being sold as a slave.

STORY (Spoilers)

Thor finds Balder out of his mind talking about demons and Asgard. Thinking that Odin has done this to Balder, Thor decides to end his exile from Asgard and returns to the city of immortals... but finds it quiet and apparently empty... that is until they run into some lizard men.

Over a cup of ale their leader, Sssthgar spins a tale of his people's civilization and how they had been abducted by slave traders. They were able to escape when their captors battled with the warriors of Asgard. The slave traders ultimately won and took Odin and the other gods captive.

Thor leaves with Sssthgar and his men and head for the Golden Star to save Odin. There he finds Odin on the selling block in chains. He attacks Odins captors. Along in the battle are the Asgardians - Hogun, Fandral, and Hildegarde, and other worlders - Tana Nile and Silas Grant.

Odin warns his son to leave. But Thor goes ahead and breaks his father's chains. Turning around the thunder god finds him and his friends surrounded by the lizard men. Sssthgar reveals that he and his fellow lizards had been partners with the Vrellnexian slave traders, but their partners had marooned them on Asgard.

He had used Thor to get revenge. And now that Thor and his companions were tired from battle, he'd take them as slaves.
